One of my favorite scenes in any movie is from “I Heart Huckabys.” That scene comes to mind when I pass a beautiful meadow on my daily walk with my dog, Bailey. The scene where the poet/activist Albert and his new-found uber-activist Tommy are having dinner at a Christian home and Albert laments about industry destroying nature, specifically meadows and the beauty of a meadow at dusk. This leads to one of the child asking “What happens in a meadow at dusk?” The poet and mother engage in a shouting match. “NOTHING!” says the fearful, closed-minded mother. “EVERYTHING!” says Albert. “EVERYTHING!,” says Maureen.
